COAPS is committed to educating the public about research efforts and issues related to physical oceanography and meteorology. We regularly participate in community events and are available to give presentations to groups of all ages.

COAPS regularly hosts high school students in this residential summer science and math program. - NASA Innovations in Climate Education
The Coalition for Science Literacy (CSL) at the University of South Florida and COAPS have been awarded a grant under NASA's Innovations in Climate Education program. The three-year project funded under this grant, Global Climate Change Education: Advancing Student Knowledge Through Teacher Education, began April 15, 2010. As part of this project, COAPS student Rachel Weihs has developed a middle school teachers' activity guide to MYNASADATA ENSO Data Analysis. - Satellites To Go!
