Create a Custom List of Publications

How to create a custom list of publications

Go to Search Publications.

Remember, for each of these fields, do not add any unnecessary characters.

Common fields for an entry

  1. Authors: Contains information about the authors (Last Name, Initial of First Name, ex: Tesoriere, S.)
  2. Year: Contains the year of an entry (4 digit year)
  3. Title: The title of an entry
  4. Keywords: Keywords to add about an entry (separated by commas)
  5. Status: The status of an entry (accepted, in press, in preparation, in review, published, submitted)
  6. Categories: Ctrl-Click (windows) or Apple key-Click a category to make it a part of an entry. Keep in mind, you can select MULTIPLE categories.

Source specific fields for an entry

  • Journal
    1. Journal name: The name of the journal. It can be chosen from the list, or typed in. If you want one added, please email Shawn Smith.
    2. Volume: The volume number of the journal (number or roman numeral, ex: 20)
    3. Issue: The issue of the journal (number or roman numeral, ex: IIa)
    4. Pages: The page numbers of the article (just the page numbers separated by a -, ex: 385-399, do not include 'pp')
  • Book
    1. Publisher: The publisher of the book
    2. Edition: The edition of the book
    3. Pages: The number of pages in the book (just the page numbers separated by a -, ex: 385-399, do not include 'pp')
  • Conference
    1. Conference Type: The type of paper submitted to the conference (Preprint, Short Abstract, Extended Abstract, Proceeding)
    2. Conference Name: The name of the conference
    3. City: The city the conference took place
    4. State: The state (or province/prefecture) the conference took place (not abbreviated)
    5. Country: The country the conference took place (not abbreviated)
    6. Sponsor: The sponsor of the conference
    7. Pages: The number of pages of the paper (just the page numbers separated by a -, ex: 385-399, do not include 'pp')
  • Report
    1. Report Name Number: The name and number of the report
    2. Publisher: The publisher of the report
    3. Pages: The number of pages of the report (just the page numbers separated by a -, ex: 385-399, do not include 'pp')
    4. City: The city where the report came from
    5. State: The state (or province/prefecture) the report came from (not abbreviated)
    6. Country: The country the report came from (not abbreviated)
    7. NTIS: The NTIS number of the report (just time in the number, do not include 'NTIS:', ex: PB99-175713)
  • Series
    1. Series Title: The title of the series
    2. Volume: The volume number of the series
    3. Publisher: The publisher of the series
    4. Pages: The page numbers of the article inside the series (just the page numbers separated by a -, ex: 385-399, do not include 'pp')
  • Thesis
    1. Thesis Type: The type (P.H.D, M.S.)
    2. University: The university the paper came from
    3. Department: The department where the paper came from
    4. Pages: The number of pages of the paper (just the page numbers separated by a -, ex: 385-399, do not include 'pp')
