The focus of my research is on physical processes and circulation in the ocean and air-sea interaction in the North Atlantic from tropical to Polar Regions. My research projects include studies of topographically trapped waves, deepwater processes, studies of the ocean response to hurricanes and storm surges, analysis of water mass transformation and air-sea interaction. I investigate these problems by employing numerical models of different complexity and analyzing in situ and satellite observational data. My primary expertise lies in developing, running and analyzing numerical models for a broad range of applications. I have also extensively worked with model and observational data.
