RESEARCH INTERESTS
My knowledge in mathematics and physics has allowed me to have two, distinguishable but often interwoven, research careers: an atmospheric/climatic scientist and a mathematician. In the past two decades, my research has been in the areas of
- searching for more general and logically consistent theories based on first principles to explain atmospheric/climatic phenomena
- developing new concepts and methods in data analysis and searching for their mathematical and physical foundations;
- developing innovative applications of these methods to revealing new insights into data from different fields of science, engineering, and medicine
