I am working on validating tidal forcing within a global hycom model with Dr. Brian Arbic at the University of Michigan. My other research interests include coastal oceanography, air-sea interactions and convection. I have a B.S. in Mathematics, a B.S. in Meteorology, and an M.S. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Alberta in Canada, and a Ph.D. in Physical Oceanography from Memorial University of Newfoundland.

I am originally from Alberta, and have also worked as a post-doctoral scientist at the University of Texas at Austin, the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia, and the Florida State University Center for Ocean-Atmospheric Prediction Studies.
