NSCAT

Animations are excellent tools for preliminary examination of the gross features of the scatterometer observations. There are more than 1000 animations based on the NASA Scatterometer (NSCAT) winds. They are grouped below in terms of the main characteristic of the animation (first column), general region (second column), additional animated features (third column), specific region (fourth column), and the product or Background information (seventh column). The product or Background provides additional information such as tips on playing the movies, a different interface (e.g., graphical selection of regions), and/or information on the science related to the animation. Regions are often covered at several spatial scales, which allows the viewers to select the scale most appropriate for their interests.

Also available is an animation locator which spans several regions and hundreds of animations.
